How to play

Rules

Market XI is a fantasy game using price movements only. No dividends, staking rewards, interest, leverage, short selling, or options are included.

Market XI is for entertainment and education only. It is not investment advice, does not support live trading, and does not involve real-money deposits, leverage, short selling, options, futures, dividends, staking, interest, or real-money prizes.

Squad

$100m budget, 16 assets: 5 Stocks, 5 Crypto, 5 Forex and 1 ETF. Select 11 starters, 3 substitutes and 2 reserves.

Formations

The ETF position always starts. Approved formations use the current Stock, Forex and Crypto combinations shown in Squad Builder.

Scoring

Each asset uses its weekly percentage price movement with no category multiplier. Official asset points are capped at +15.00 and -15.00 before captaincy.

Captaincy

Captain scores double. If the captain has no valid data, the vice-captain receives the double score.

Transfers

One free transfer per week, one rollover, maximum two free transfers. Extra transfers cost four points. One wildcard is available in weeks 1-4 and one in weeks 5-8.

Deadlines

Lineup and transfer changes are blocked after the gameweek deadline. Times are displayed in the relevant market timezone and stored in UTC.
